Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills

Conducts planning and engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer

Conducts research and organizes findings in support of design development

Creates preliminary and final designs, prepares and defends calculations, develops preliminary schematic sketches to be used for final design drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer

Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer

Will use computer software such as GIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems

Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Preferred

Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Management

Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and be familiar with civil engineering computer based modeling software

Course work or experience with focus on water and wastewater design, pumping systems calculations, site grading, profiling, and integration of all site services
