Travel Field Technician II
MasTec Communications Group is dedicated to building for the future and is seeking a Field Technician II to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures while providing superior customer service and adhering to safety standards.

Read and understand a customer detail plan

Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner
Adhere to all company and industry standards/regulations (OSHA, etc.)
Prepare drawings of field sketches using AutoCAD
Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial application
Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to fieldwork
Review peer work product
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
This is a 100% travel position

Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
High school diploma or GED
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate aerial lifts, man lifts, skid steers, and aerial platform equipment
Ability to lead crews when the foreman is gone, with DC/AC electrical skills
Update equipment office records and installation specifications to document accurate 'as built'
Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity
Must be adaptable to changing environments
Must be able to pick up 50 lbs. and be capable of working up to 12 hours
Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
Must be able to work out of the market or away from home as work demands
Preferred
2 + years of general construction experience preferred; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results-oriented
High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
Experience on AT&T or Verizon Wireless Networks
