Course development

Student advising

Engaging in service activities for the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

Teach and develop core courses that support the Department’s undergraduate curriculum

Contribute to the Master of Science in Data Science program

Incorporating more artificial intelligence across the different curricula

Qualification

Required

A master's degree in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field is required

Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or data science

Programming skills in Python and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools

Preferred

A Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field by August 1, 2026, is preferred

Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or master's level

Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and prompt engineering

Experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world challenges in industry settings

Experience with cloud platforms for AI/ML deployment

Knowledge of responsible AI practices, AI ethics, and AI governance
