The Airframe Design Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of helicopter fuselage structures, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engaging in continuous quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
Assist with preliminary design layouts and detail design for new and revised parts, assemblies and systems that make up helicopter fuselage primary and secondary structures
Work within an multi-disciplinary team
Participate in the development and presentation of design proposals
Assist with detail designs and support through the product lifecycle
Work on layouts and drawings using CATIA 3Dx/V6
Assist with composite designs utilizing the CATIA CPD tool
Actively engage in continuous quality improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action processes and the use of other Continuous Improvement (CI) tools
Qualification
Required
Engineering degree
Related experience in metallic and composite structure design
Ability to assist with preliminary design layouts and detail design for new and revised parts, assemblies and systems
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Participation in the development and presentation of design proposals
Assistance with detail designs and support through the product lifecycle
Ability to work on layouts and drawings using CATIA 3Dx/V6
Assistance with composite designs utilizing the CATIA CPD tool
Engagement in continuous quality improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action processes and the use of other Continuous Improvement (CI) tools
Preferred
Proficient in design of composite airframe structure and use of composite ply development tools such as CPD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Technical drawing/drafting skills
Experience in model based definition
