Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for referral coordination with contracted managed health care plans
Assist members, clinic staff and providers with community resources referrals for patients
Respond to inquiries from members, clinic staff, plan, providers, hospitals, and external specialists regarding managed care
Educate clinic staff and others appropriate in managed care
Provide support to the manager by meeting department and company goals and objectives
Work is primarily completed via telephone and direct contact with patients and staff
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED required
Five years administrative experience working in a health care setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills required
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft products required
Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
Preferred
Two or more years of managed care experience
