GME Program Coordinator - Department Of Neurology

Responsibilities
Collaborates with PDs/APDs and if applicable, UConn Affiliates to assure compliance with all program requirements and provides educational coordination between Department Chiefs/Directors, attending physicians, Hartford Hospital Medical Education Office, and UConn GME Office, if applicable
Provides administrative support to PDs/APDs
Coordinates required paperwork for specific program affiliations, institutions, and on-boards new residents/fellows in collaboration with the Hartford Hospital Medical Education Office and if applicable, the UConn GME office which will include scheduling EPIC training
Provides administrative oversight for a residency program to include but not limited to drafting rotation and education schedules, preparing reports, handling inquiries, maintaining current program manuals, maintaining program files, scheduling meetings, and assisting in requests for verification of training
Maintains/works with applicable program databases/systems [i.e., ERAS Database, New Innovations, GME Track, Web ADS, HealthStream, if applicable, AMION, blackboard, Myevaluations]
Actively involved in recruitment of new residents including initial screening of applications to ensure qualification, scheduling interviews, and related recruitment activities
Actively involved in planning annual program orientation and graduation
Serves as Hartford Hospital Coordinator for a Residency Program(s), and medical student rotations, and provides administrative support to Hartford Hospital Director and if applicable, site directors; coordinates visiting residents to the Department
Complete other responsibilities as assigned/deemed by the supervisor/manager to meet program and Departmental objectives
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in business administration, secretarial science or related field
Three (3) years' experience providing high level administrative support to a complex department, function, or group of professionals
Preferred
Or, equivalency of combined education and experience. Associate's Degree in business administration, secretarial science or related field preferred
Prior work experience in an academic medical center as a Residency or Fellowship Program Coordinator and/or Program Site Coordinator preferred
Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) Certification preferred
