Sexual Violence Prevention Program Coordinator
The New Mexico Department of Health is focused on improving community health and safety, and they are seeking a Sexual Violence Prevention Program Coordinator. Responsibilities
Coordinate sexual violence prevention programs throughout New Mexico to reduce incidents and rates of sexual violence
Plan, organize, and supervise effective prevention programs and initiatives aligned with the Department's goals
Write grants to acquire funding for sexual violence prevention programming and craft requests for proposals to elicit responses from potential contractors
Work with contractors to develop scopes of work to increase organizational capacity to deliver sexual violence prevention programming
Negotiate and manage contracts, including writing scopes of work, reviewing invoices and deliverables, and monitoring spending to ensure effective use of funds
Function as part of the larger Injury Prevention Team
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and one (1) year of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico, or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment

Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and be responsive to multiple priorities and deadlines while complying with state and federal regulations
Ability to think critically
Experience managing large program budgets
Ability to apply for and manage federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grants
