Responsibilities

Handles receipt and distribution of all laboratory specimens

Assists with the operation and performs point of care testing at the off site testing locations

Performs point of care testing and assists with operations at off site laboratory locations

Follows procedures for the proper evaluation and disposition of laboratory specimens as stated in the Specimen Collection Manual and reference laboratory manuals

Interacts/communicates with all patients, physicians and coworkers in a collaborative manner

Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organizational/Departmental policies and procedures
