Responsibilities
Responsible for the identification, validation, development, progression, and winning research business funded primarily by the US Federal government
Forges and sustains successful strategic partnerships with government agencies, national laboratories, and systems integrators
Identifies government research needs and objectives that align with IBM's research strategy
Crafts potential new engagements, defines value propositions, articulates technical differentiation, and secures teaming partners where appropriate
Qualification
Required
Understanding of the US Federal Government landscape, to include its missions and acquisition processes
Ability to analyze industry strategies, technology shifts, and business changes to identify new opportunities
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and visual/presentation)
Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams, executive leadership, program teams, and various client groups
Ability to adapt to and perform in a dynamic environment, with challenging deadlines, evolving requirements and diverse stakeholder groups
