Responsibilities

Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large and complex data sets from various sources
Defining foundational data models and working toward the productization of the final analytical tool
Analyzing request patterns, identifying new signals, performing anomaly detection, and recommending adjustments based on quantified impact
Creating insightful data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau to help stakeholders easily understand and act upon data
Collaborating with engineers during the development process to gather feedback and iterate on design improvements
Communicating key insights and developing dashboards to cascade them to a wide range of stakeholders across the organization

Required

Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited academic program (M.S., or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field graduating in December 2026, Summer 2027 or later
To be intern-eligible, you must be returning to school for one semester or quarter post-Summer internship
Hands-on keyboard experience with data analysis
High proficiency in the standard data science tech stack
Experience leveraging distributed systems for large-scale data processing
Proficiency in SQL
Experienced in Python or Java
Hands-on experience building intuitive schemas and data models for datasets
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

Experience leveraging statistical inference and machine learning models to present actionable insights
Working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Matplotlib)
Ability to convey complex data insights to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
A positive attitude that welcomes opportunities to give and receive candid feedback
A tendency to perceive ambiguity as an opportunity to explore possibilities
Excitement about security or complex problem domains
