Responsibilities
Read blueprints, process instructions, schematics, mechanical drawings, pictures, and other diagrams to assemble complex assemblies and subassemblies
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
Assemble parts or units, position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools
Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications. Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping
Solder, wire, and check connections and continuity
Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers
Conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance
Monitor operation including gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure the machines are working properly
Qualification
Required
High school diploma and a minimum of 2-4 years related experience required
Must have experience in the assembly of mechanical mechanisms, wiring, and cable harnesses
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Troubleshooting skills
Judgment and Decision-Making skills
Ability to use lift, balance, walk, lie on the back, manual dexterity, and lift to 40 pounds
Flexibility to work overtime
Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel
Preferred
Knowledge of vacuum system technologies and clean room experience helpful
