Marketing Specialist (Communications Specialist III)

Responsibilities

Develop and implement big ideas and marketing campaigns that drive behavior change and support agency goals
Conduct market research and analyze data to inform campaign strategies
Collaborate with internal cross-functional program teams to identify marketing needs, develop targeted audiences and strategies, and implement campaigns
Develop and present marketing briefs or presentations
Collaborate with the creative team, internal program teams, external partners and social media specialist to deliver cohesive campaigns across multiple channels
Manage budgets, tasks and timelines to ensure marketing campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
Track campaign performance and make in-flight adjustments to delivery results
Support the design and implementation of outreach efforts at community events
Ensure marketing efforts align with agency brand standards, accessibility needs and equity principles

Required

Three or more years of experience developing and managing strategic marketing initiatives for a brand, public agency, or mission-driven organization
Demonstrated success leading multi-channel branding or behavior change campaigns for a business, cause-based organization, government entity or similar group
Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect agency goals to effective marketing approaches
Creative approaches to marketing and communications, with the ability to develop fresh, engaging strategies
Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify challenges, analyze options, and implement solutions
Skilled in community engagement and public outreach, including engaging diverse audiences and applying an equity and inclusion lens to communications and marketing strategies
Strong relationship-building skills with external partners and community organizations
Experience collaborating and working effectively with cross-functional teams
Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Project management experience, including managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management tools such as Asana or Trello, and basic analytics platforms like Google Analytics
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field OR any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the work

Preferred

Experience working with large public sector agencies, governmental organizations, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations on marketing and communications initiatives
Experience managing multilingual marketing communications and reaching culturally diverse audiences
Proficient in a language in addition to English
