Responsibilities
Assist in developing the strategies specific to discovery research and deploying AI approaches within the Department of Neurosurgery
Set up mechanical research equipment, develop experimental protocols, and provide engineering technical expertise and analysis
Work in a special engineering group, process and test algorithms, informatics, data for computer programming, and implement algorithms to apply to concepts, research, and clinical applications and devices
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in data structures and algorithms
Python programming language (including Tensorflow/PyTorch)
Linux shell scripting
DBMS (e.g. MySQL, Redis)
Docker
Stochastic processes
Statistical learning
Machine learning (particularly deep learning)
Track-record of publications/scientific writing
Strong proficiency in all four skills of English language, particularly experience in writing scientific manuscripts
Ability to assist in developing strategies specific to discovery research and deploying AI approaches within the Department of Neurosurgery
Demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications
Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic
Preferred
Expertise in Google Cloud Services (GCP) is a plus
