The intern will observe functions and processes of the assigned work unit and may be given selected work assignments while participating in a biomedical ethics summer curriculum.
Responsibilities
Observe the functions and processes of the assigned work unit
Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility
Participate in a biomedical ethics summer curriculum, which includes educational sessions on bioethics research methods and lunch meetings with members of the program faculty
Qualification
Required
Relevant field experiences in chosen field of study
Ability to observe functions and processes of assigned work unit
Completion of all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility
Participation in a biomedical ethics summer curriculum, including educational sessions on bioethics research methods and lunch meetings with program faculty
Availability for a full 10 weeks in Rochester, Minnesota, or willingness to discuss opportunities in Arizona or Florida campuses
Preferred
Interest in biomedical ethics
Flexibility for clinical shadowing and other training activities
