Responsibilities
Manage a team of two individuals tasked with the monthly performance and composite calculation, review, and statement generation process. This includes ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting across various asset classes such as fixed income, equities, ETFs, mutual funds, long-short strategies, and options
Provide oversight for Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) compliance and leading the annual GIPS verification process to ensure industry-standard reporting
Optimize the current process for long short performance calculations
Acting as a resource for other investment operations team members, providing guidance and expertise on performance concepts and operational best practices
Lead projects to streamline operations, automate processes, and reduce errors
Handling various internal and external client inquiries and requests related to performance reporting
Actively contribute to SMA operations agenda and any firm-wide initiatives
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in business, math, finance or related fields
10+ years of experience in calculating performance for various asset classes at an investment management firm
Intimate knowledge of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) policies
Track record of building teams to support operational processes
Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior management, key clients, and internal/external stakeholders (e.g. Portfolio Managers, Custodians, Brokers)
Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving abilities
Ability to operate/prioritize effectively and adhere to tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Advent APX, Aladdin, Investcloud APL and Sylvan performance system is a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot table, formula driven data scrubbing, VBA) is a plus
