Responsibilities
Manage inspection and testing teams/coordinating tasks of moderate size and complexity, make decisions independently, and resolve complex problems
Manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction
Supports operation managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of construction engineering and inspection opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
At least 5 years of Project Management experience in the Construction industry in Texas
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas, or transferrable within 6 months
DOT experience (as a DOT employee or consultant) is a must; TxDOT, is preferred
Ability to lead a project and supervise a technical staff of 5-15 employees
Possess an extensive understanding of construction standards and practices
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Flexibility to travel to construction sites for extended periods and work outside of normal business hours
Must be self-directed, yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
