Mid LevelRed Hill Consulting LLC is seeking a hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer to support a high-visibility enterprise AI initiative. The role focuses on building and wiring the application layer around an internal AI system, including frontend chat UI, backend APIs, and integration with Azure AI services.

Responsibilities
Building and wiring the application layer around an internal AI system including frontend chat UI, backend APIs, and integration with Azure AI services
Debugging across frontend, backend, and API layers
Committing code daily
Working independently with minimal hand-holding
Qualification
Required
Recent, production experience with React (or similar modern JavaScript framework)
Building chat-style user interfaces
Handling loading states, errors, and message history
Building REST APIs (Node.js, Python, or similar)
Managing request/response logic and conversation state
Integrating backend services with frontend applications
Calling AI / LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI or similar)
Handling streaming responses, retries, timeouts, and errors
Passing retrieved content into AI calls (chat-style workflows)
Experience with authentication and authorization
Able to debug across frontend, backend, and API layers
Comfortable committing code daily
Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
Preferred
Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD experience is a strong plus
Azure App Service or Azure Functions
Application Insights or logging/telemetry tools
Experience working with AI or data engineers
