National Air Logistics Aerospace Operational Care Supervisor

Responsibilities

To supervise the Operational Care center team under their direct management
To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment/process management
To monitor operational performance and increase data and execution quality according to all KN requirements
To resolve problems escalated by a team member or any other stakeholder, sustainability
To maximize profitability through cost optimization
To act as first level escalation point of contact for the team
To collaborate with all partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, the RCC, and external parties as needed
To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient operation
To optimize operations and all systems utilization, working closely with the Optimization team, to ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization
To support Airfreight procurement and carrier/partner relationship management
To closely cooperate with Customer Service and key account teams to gain specialized customer specific knowledge and to receive first-hand feedback about the OCC operational execution
To support Development and Customer Care teams to develop new / existing customers, and during account implementation
To increase ratio of spot quotes for AOG and Engines and control end-to-end shipment performance as part of an AOG, Engine or vertical Aerospace OCC

Required

High knowledge of freight forwarding, airfreight operations, and import/export regulations
Strong understanding of KN products, services, systems, and processes
Ability to manage end-to-end shipment processing, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and engine logistics
Bachelor's degree (First University Degree) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Master's degree (Second University Degree) or MBA is considered an advantage
Professional certification in Freight Forwarding / Logistics or related areas is a plus
Proficiency in cost optimization and operational performance monitoring
Familiarity with carrier/partner relationship management and procurement support
Competence in continuous process improvement and lean operations
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Effective problem-solving and time management capabilities
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams (direct and virtual)
Ability to organize, plan, assign, and control operational tasks
Skilled in decision-making and acting as an escalation point
Experience in change management and driving performance improvements
High attention to detail and accuracy in execution
Commercial acumen and performance-driven mindset
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders
Fluent in local language and advanced English proficiency
