Responsibilities

Provides clinical supervision to staff including therapists, nurses, and behavioral technicians

Performs counseling and case management for each patient assigned, including: assessment, diagnosis, planning care, intervention (including counseling patients/significant others, facilitating psychotherapy and educational groups), evaluation (including identifying unmet or new therapy services)

Demonstrates the therapeutic core conditions including empathy, warmth, mutual respect, trust and positive regard when interacting with patients, significant others, and staff according to generally accepted counseling practice

Performs professional clinical duties as the psychologist on staff for patients as needed, according to accepted standards of professional therapeutic practice

Active participation in initiatives to improve clinical and service quality as directed by program administration

Serves in a leadership role in regard to care of patients and appropriate therapeutic intervention
