NPAworld is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and installation of radiation-shielded and RF-shielded door systems. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing technical support to customers in medical environments.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on radiation-shielded and RF-shielded door systems, focusing on large automatic mechanisms

Install, align, and calibrate automatic door systems and components, including heavy-duty door operators and safety sensors

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues in large automatic radiation and RF-shielded door systems

Ensure precise adjustments and alignment of linear motion systems to meet rigorous performance standards in medical environments

Install and service automatic door operators, safety sensors, and linear motion systems

Provide guidance to customers on proper operation and safety procedures for complex automatic door systems

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support

Maintain professionalism and build strong customer relationships

Work independently in challenging environments, such as hospitals, where downtime can impact patient care

Prepare detailed service reports for management and customers

Ensure all documentation adheres to NELCO and regulatory standards

Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Service Operations Manager or General Manager

Coordinate pre- and post-project communications with customers to manage expectations, address safety concerns, and ensure milestones are met

Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations, including mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) per ANSI Z49.1

Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to project management
