BIM Coordinator
HLB Lighting Design is seeking a BIM Coordinator to develop accurate representations of lighting systems in Revit. This role involves collaborating with design teams to create efficient workflows, supporting the BIM Manager, and ensuring high-quality BIM models are produced.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with designers to efficiently model high quality BIM models by implementing established firm-wide processes, methods and design guidelines
Collaborate with the design team to successfully transfer design ideas into modeled elements in the BIM Model
Set up new projects in Revit
Provide direct support to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve BIM technical issues
Setup Navisworks clash detection models and generate clash reports
Act as trainer for new employees, as well as providing continuing education for current employees
Prepare BIM models for use in Rendering environments, such as Enscape
Perform other tasks/projects as requested by the BIM Manager
Enhance HLBs value to the client and promote the firm
Use communication tools to manage client expectations
Coordinate and align to project specific BIM standards
Collaborate with the BIM Manager to develop and maintain the firmwide BIM needs
Exhibit flexibility and cooperation with teammates
Interface among design and technical staff as needed and communicate effectively with varied staff levels
Manage work and prioritize time appropriately
Commitment to implementing new programs and ideas that improve the firm in all respects
Represent the firm in a professional manner

Qualification
Required
Advanced Revit skills are required
Proficient in use of Autodesk modeling/management applications including Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, NavisWorks and documentation applications such as BlueBeam
Understanding of Building Information Modeling
Ability to be proactive in terms of assuring future project efficiencies and synergies
Ability to innovate and improve corporate BIM systems and policies
Ability to troubleshoot BIM and project related issues
Ability to create accurate, 3D parametric families for Revit
Ability to read, interpret, and develop BIM technical documentation
Ability to integrate and institute communication workflow between BIM software and Excel
Understand project workflows from preliminary design through construction documentation and administration
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex technical skills
Self-motivated and self-directed
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
Flexibility and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to prioritize / time management skills

Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as equations and geometry
Certificate or Associate degree with a focus in Revit-Modeling in the AEC industry
Minimum five years of relevant BIM experience in the AEC industry
Preferred
Experience with SketchUp, Rhino and lighting photometric software preferred
Autodesk Certified Professional preferred
Bachelor in Design Technology is preferred
