Responsibilities

Provide supervision and guidance to a team of two Staff Accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
Perform month-end close activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, margin and expense analysis across multiple profit centers
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with internal controls and established accounting policies and procedures
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations
Support preparation of schedules and documentation required for external audits
Collaborate with internal business partners, including Regional Managers and VPs of Operations, to provide financial insight and support decision-making
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience; public or large company background strongly preferred
Experience working in a multi-location or multi-entity environment
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting principles
Proven ability to improve accounting processes and drive efficiencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday GL or other large ERP systems a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and levels of management
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, growing environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to develop and motivate team members
