LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and growing organization with a strong national presence across multiple business entities. This role involves contributing to meaningful financial processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate Balance Sheet account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and supporting schedules
Perform journal entries, variance analyses, and account reviews as part of the monthly close process
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP for all journal entries and reporting activities
Participate in month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting processes, including accruals and preparation of financial reporting packages
Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting internal and external audit requests as needed
Record and manage Fixed Assets, including purchases, transfers, disposals, work-in-progress, and depreciation schedules
Calculate and reconcile prepaid expenses, payroll and commission accruals, insurance, property taxes, and customer rebates
Support the preparation of tax schedules for external tax firms as requested
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational leaders to provide insights and ensure accounting accuracy
Assist with system enhancements and ERP conversion initiatives, contributing to process optimization and automation efforts
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in both public accounting and industry
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
Experience with multi-entity or multi-location organizations strongly preferred
Big 4 or large public accounting firm background a plus
Prior involvement in ERP implementation or upgrades a plus
