This role involves accurately recording cash and revenue transactions, preparing journal entries, and supporting internal control documentation. Responsibilities

Accurately record all cash and revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP
Extract and compile data from multiple bank statements into standardized report formats
Track depository accounts and summarize weekly cash activity reports
Prepare monthly cash-related journal entries
Reconcile cash balances at the location level to identify discrepancies between internal reports and actual deposits
Support internal control documentation and assist with policy implementation
Identify and propose process improvements within assigned areas
Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries
Complete ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Perform account analysis and prepare reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
Collaborate with internal departments to research and resolve reconciling items
Maintain organized and well-documented files (electronic and paper)
Promote strong internal controls and efficient accounting processes
Cross-train with team members in related accounting functions and provide backup support when necessary
Assist the Accounting Manager with special projects and initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and managing large datasets)
Comfortable working in a high-volume, data-intensive environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to quickly learn new systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information professionally
Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude
High level of integrity and a strong work ethic

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
Experience with lease accounting is a plus, but not required
