The role involves overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections activities while ensuring efficient accounting processes and collaborating with internal departments.

Responsibilities

Oversee and review accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections activities

Investigate and resolve discrepancies with customers, carriers, and third parties within the accounting system

Prepare and pull reports for audits, reconciliations, and leadership review

Review and resolve short payments and billing variances

Respond to internal and external accounting-related billing and payment inquiries

Post and review wire transactions, including Comdata payments

Upload and maintain customer and carrier rate information within the accounting system

Audit settlement items and process voids as needed

Distribute remittance information to carriers

Create and release banking files for direct deposit processing

Obtain and review credit reports for new vendors or carriers

Support month-end close activities in partnership with senior accounting leadership

Serve as backup support for A/P and A/R team members as needed

Collaborate with internal departments to provide accurate, timely financial support

Ensure accounting processes are executed efficiently and with a high degree of automation
