Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a PTS Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will support Powertrain Engineers in various tasks including data analysis, part inspections, and process improvement initiatives, while also leading an individual project related to powertrain systems.

Responsibilities

Support PT (Powertrain) Engineers in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing field claim data and vehicle test data related to powertrain systems (PTS)

Assist in teardowns and part inspections under the supervision of PTS Engineers

Conduct literature and benchmarking research to compare observed failure(s) with known industry issues

Participate in cross-functional investigations with affiliate organizations

Contribute to process improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to streamline reporting or investigations

Lead an individual project that utilizes the learned skills from hands-on experience and dealer claim systems to create documentation to reflect notable issue trends and investigation-related best practices
