Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack
SiriusXM is a leading audio entertainment company in North America, seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Content Enablement team. The role involves designing and developing scalable tools and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring high-quality releases through automated testing and deployment in AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable services, filters, and tooling to detect and prevent automated/bot traffic across listener behavior
Contribute to our long-term architecture and spin fraud prevention strategy by developing scalable detection frameworks and maintaining high system reliability
Help define and lead development of features in collaboration with product and design
Mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices
Write automated unit and integration tests
Deploy services into the AWS infrastructure
Pair with other team members when necessary
Qualification
Required
7 years of experience developing Java services and web applications
Ability to lead cross-functional projects
Ability to design, develop, test and deploy web applications using common standards and frameworks
Strong experience with AWS, including deploying applications using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, and IAM
Strong experience with both SQL (RDS, Aurora) and NoSQL (Redis, ElastiCache) databases
Familiarity with AWS networking, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform), and monitoring best practices
Experience with writing automated tests
Experience with web-based API design and development (e.g., GraphQL, REST)
Experience building stream processing systems using Kafka or AWS-native services
Experience with modern front-end frameworks and component-based architecture
Curious and open to developing expertise in anti-fraud systems, adversarial behavior analysis, and behavioral anomaly detection as part of the role
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to 'internal client' and customer service principles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must have legal right to work in the U.S
Preferred
Experience in fraud detection, trust & safety is a plus
