The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join their Project Management Office. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and implementing designated department projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, deadlines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

Facilitates project meetings to continually align the team around goals and communicate blocking issues

Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of the project

Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing

Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed

Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders

Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion

Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

5 + years of related experience managing IT projects required

Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods

Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others

Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams

Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality

Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field preferred, or related experience

PMP certification is a plus

Training in science, engineering, or business fields is a plus

Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence is a plus
