Responsibilities

Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction
Ability to independently assess, mitigate, and resolve customer-impacting incidents while maintaining clear communication
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level
Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, Total Cost of Ownership, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
Participate in the migration of applications from on premise data centers to Cloud environments
Contribute to the designs and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions for the GE Aerospace business
Promote the company culture by encouraging open communication, teamwork and living of the GE Behaviors
Provide necessary leadership for the business and IT team to ensure that initiatives and projects meet the strategic objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
Minimum of 2-3 years focused on Hands-on Azure design and implementation
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Willing to travel as needed

Preferred

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Azure core services including identity, compute, networking, storage, managed database services, and others
Hands on experience with Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
LEAN Knowledge
Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals
Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and technical leadership skills
Experience in developing or operating applications/infrastructure in Cloud environments
Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders
Ability to get hands on with infrastructure
Customer driven– evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
Experience working across multiple functions and with global resources
Interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
