Responsibilities

Develop, port, optimize, and maintain firmware for Linux-based embedded systems, including peripheral driver development
Conduct chip testing, driver development, debugging, and validation
Design and implement software control algorithms related to power management
Lead hardware design for embedded products, including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout review, ensuring compliance with electrical and reliability standards
Evaluate key components, define BOMs, and collaborate with supply chain teams for cost optimization and sourcing efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in collaboration with software and cross-functional teams; provide on-site support when necessary to understand customer use cases

Required

Proficient in Linux system development, including system customization, porting, and optimization, with the ability to develop related device drivers based on project requirements
Strong programming skills in C/C++, with experience in Shell scripting
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, with development and debugging experience in protocols such as HTTP and TLS
Strong knowledge of common data structures and algorithms, with the ability to analyze and optimize algorithm performance
Good understanding of hardware fundamentals; able to read chip specifications and troubleshoot common communication protocols such as I²C, UART, and SPI
Strong logical thinking, fast learner, proactive, and responsible
Proficient in schematic and PCB design tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, KiCad, etc.), with a solid understanding of high-speed and multilayer PCB design guidelines
Strong knowledge of power architecture, clock, reset, and interface design; hands-on experience with common interfaces and buses such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, RS485, SDIO, and PCIe
Familiar with DC/DC converters, LDOs, power sequencing, noise and ripple control, and EMI/EMC design and mitigation. Experience with sensors, RF modules, memory (NOR/NAND/eMMC/DDR), display, and touch components. Skilled in hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters
Understanding of embedded software fundamentals and ability to collaborate with software engineers for hardware-software integration and driver-level debugging
Experience in mass production and manufacturing processes, including DFM/DFT, design for testability, production testing, and reliability/environmental testing (temperature, vibration, ESD, etc.)

Preferred

familiarity with one or more of Golang, Rust, or Python is a plus
Experience with EMC certification (e.g., CE/FCC), safety compliance (e.g., IEC/UL), or environmental compliance (RoHS/REACH)
Strong documentation, communication, and project coordination skills; proactive, responsible, and able to perform under pressure
