Neighborhood Donation Center Attendant
Goodwill Industries of El Paso Inc. is seeking a Neighborhood Donation Center Attendant who will represent the organization at donation points. The role involves greeting and assisting donors, unloading and processing donations, and providing customer service while collaborating with individuals with disabilities or disadvantages.

Responsibilities
Greets, thanks, and assist donors with donations
Maintains high level of customer service meeting donors at their vehicle and assist in unloading merchandise. Offers tax receipts to every donor
Transfers merchandise to donation center
Greets donors within 10 seconds in a courteous manner; assists in unloading donations from vehicles, offers tax receipts, and maintains accurate daily donor counts. Greets every Donor with “Good Morning (Afternoon)” and thanks the individual for their donation following the Donor Greeter SOP’s
Keeps the area monitored by donors neat, clean, and well organized according to Kaizen procedures to ensure donors perceive that Goodwill values their donation and that we treat them with care
Hard goods pre-sorting using the established procedures (Kaizen); and places items into the designated material handling equipment
Place all textiles into the designated material handling equipment
Transfer material handling equipment full to the area to be sorted, graded, and hung
Maintain the break room area, in a neat and clean condition to include trash handling as directed. Must maintain Kaizen parameters
Attend meetings and training sessions as required
Maintains acceptable attendance, personal hygiene, and dress code standards including wearing company issued name badges
Works closely with store management and other associates to ensure donations reach the sales floor in a timely manner
Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean
Cleans up all work areas at the end of each shift
Follows all company and department policies and procedures
Demonstrates excellent work habits for employees and program participants, maintaining a respectful attitude towards the operation of the entire facility, team members, and is a positive role model for individuals receiving rehabilitation services
Ensure all safety rules are adhered to, and the general upkeep of your area meets the standards of Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. Reports accidents or injuries immediately
Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. and persons receiving services
Assists in other areas as requested
Qualification
Required
No experience required
Ability to give good customer service and be friendly and polite
Ability to make quick decisions regarding merchandise quality
Ability to read, write and speak English (preferred) and have a basic math aptitude
Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
Must be able to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends)
Must be willing to transfer to other stores as requested
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, customers, donors, and persons receiving services
Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
Ability to provide support services by working with disabled/disadvantaged persons and assisting in the rehabilitation process of Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc
