Amazon Marketplace Manager – Growth & Advertising

The Amazon Marketplace Manager will own the Amazon channel strategy and P&L, lead new product launches, and manage the advertising and agency partnerships to drive growth.

Responsibilities

Own the Amazon P&L and forecast – revenue, TACOS, contribution margin, and inventory health
Set annual and quarterly sales + profitability targets and build the plan to hit them
Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon strategy (1P/3P as applicable): positioning, objectives, tactics, promos, and calendar
Define the role of Amazon within the broader Happy V ecosystem (Shopify, TikTok Shop, Retail, etc.), including halo & incrementality
Control and allocate advertising budgets (Sponsored Ads + DSP/DAA) to balance growth and profit
Serve as the primary daily contact for our Amazon agency – set priorities, oversee execution, and hold them accountable to KPIs
Direct and mentor an Amazon Coordinator who supports catalog updates, reporting pulls, and promo set-up
Lead new product launches on Amazon: from go-to-market plan through set-up, content, inventory, and post-launch optimization
Manage and optimize the full marketing funnel: Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display, Amazon DSP / Streaming (if applicable), Brand Store, deals, coupons, and promo placements
Own all Amazon creative and content (PDPs, A+ Content, Brand Store, video, images), working with internal Creative and agency
Build and maintain the merchandising and promo calendar for Amazon - Prime events, seasonal moments, BFCM, and launches
Partner with Operations & Supply Chain to ensure healthy inventory, timely PO/shipments, and coverage for major campaigns
Ensure retail readiness and compliance across all listings (claims, imagery, copy, variations, reviews, and ratings)
Act as the internal subject matter expert on all things Amazon for the C-suite and Growth team
Own weekly and monthly performance reporting: Revenue, units, TACOS, ROAS, NTB %, repeat ASIN performance, hero vs. long tail Ad performance and key tests
Use AMC/available tools to design incrementality tests (geo holdouts, DSP vs SP, upper vs lower funnel) and translate insights into clear recommendations
Monitor competitor activity, category trends, and Amazon programs and convert them into actionable optimizations or new tests

Required

Have 5+ years directly managing Amazon for a high-growth DTC or CPG brand (ideally in wellness/supplements/beauty)
Have owned $500K–$2M+ per month in Amazon revenue and 7–8 figure annual ad budgets
Are fluent in: Sponsored Ads strategy at scale, DSP and/or Streaming TV, Reading and acting on AMC / incrementality data
Can comfortably talk P&L, contribution profit, TACOS, and payback, not just ROAS
Communicate clearly with executives and love turning complexity into a simple, focused plan
Experience in women's health, supplements, or regulated CPG
Previous ownership of Prime Day/BFCM playbooks and large tentpole events
Experience coordinating Amazon efforts with Meta/Google/TikTok to leverage halo effects
