Responsibilities
Estimating unpaid property and casualty insurance liabilities, with a disciplined approach to understanding the data, products, coverages, claims function, and reserving methodologies
Ratemaking for property and casualty insurance products, including rate level indications, deductible factors, increased limit factors, territorial rating, and classification plans; applying rating plan segmentation tools from machine learning to generalized linear models
Pricing for new insurance programs and emerging risks
Analyzing reinsurance program placements using experience and exposure-based methods, along with risk transfer testing of reinsurance programs
Qualification
Required
Successfully completed 1+ CAS exams, with an expectation to work towards ACAS or FCAS
Advanced Excel experience. You should be comfortable with: Using V-Lookup/Index-Match, Creating & manipulating Pivot Tables, Implementing & editing VBA macros, Best practices around data integrity
Experience with coding and using the statistical functions of either R or Python for data processing, modeling, and visualizations. You should be comfortable with: Loading, cleaning, and organizing data from a variety of sources, Creating and interpreting summary statistics, Developing & validating statistical & mathematical models, Writing basic documentation
Strong technical written and presentation skills (our clients need to understand our recommendations)
Motivated to use AI to enhance analyses, processes, and quality
