Century Contractors, LLC is seeking a Material Expeditor to support the Fabrication Shop Manager in planning and executing daily activities related to receiving and dispatching orders. The role involves strong communication with management and site personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Construction

Responsibilities

Inspect orders upon pickup or arrival to confirm correct materials are expedited according to the materials list
Resolve any discrepancies before leaving for delivery and seek management input when necessary
Adjust and communicate delivery schedules for supplies, materials, and equipment based on changing priorities
Secure loads to ensure safe, damage-free transportation
Inform Project Managers and the Purchasing Manager of any needs or challenges at job sites
Plan and coordinate efficient routes for material transfers between locations, incorporating input as needed
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and project site personnel
Communicate challenges promptly to all relevant parties
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

1-3 years relevant work experience
Critical thinking skills/problem solving skills to Plan and perform work where only general policies or procedures are available
Experienced communicator with effective verbal and written communication that allows for relationship and rapport building
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to recognize timelines and deadlines to prioritize work accordingly
Sit-down Forklift experience
