Responsibilities
Evaluated and monitored risk management, control, and governance practices across business units, identifying gaps and recommending improvements aligned with best practices
Provided independent assurance and advisory support to business unit owners on risk and control effectiveness
Collaborated with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to address regulatory and operational risks
Reviewed and assessed Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Documentary Credits to ensure accurate construction and regulatory compliance
Drafted and reviewed technical terms and conditions for standby and documentary credits to ensure clarity, enforceability, and risk mitigation
Ensured compliance with AML, OFAC, and U.S. Anti-Boycott regulations within trade finance operations
Delivered detailed feedback and reporting to business unit management, including risk observations and improvement recommendations
Qualification
Required
5–7 years' experience with Standby Letters of Credit
Knowledge of UCP 600, ISP98, and UCC Article 5
Experience in Trade Finance risk and controls
Compliance knowledge of AML, OFAC, and U.S. Anti-Boycott regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and draft complex trade finance documentation
Risk assessment, control evaluation, and governance advisory skills
Stakeholder management and consulting mindset
