Cushing & Co is a multidisciplinary design firm that focuses on creating sustainable systems and spaces. They are seeking a Civil CAD/Civil 3D Technician to be part of the project design and production team, responsible for producing drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Responsibilities

Set up drawings utilizing company CAD standards and basic design criteria provided by an engineer

Under an engineers supervision, prepare and modify drawings

Assist in production of entitlements & construction documents utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software

Coordinate production of documents with other disciplines

Modify drawings based on written or graphical comments received from supervisors or other senior team members

Prepare construction documents as directed by an engineer, designer, technician, or project manager, i.e., plans, sections, profiles, elevations, details

Perform basic engineering calculations and take-offs

Prepare and coordinate production plotting efforts with the team and other disciplines

Notify other team members/departments of changes that may affect their drawings

Required

An associate degree or higher education in computer technology, drafting and design, integrated arts, animation and modeling, or other related programs

2+ years of job-related experience

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Auto CADD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook

Basic mathematical skills

Basic understanding of site, utilities, & transportation design components
