Responsibilities

Automate patching processes to minimize application downtime using configuration management tools

Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities in compliance with security standards

Install, configure, and maintain Unix operating systems on MIS servers and cloud platforms

Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues affecting availability and efficiency

Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, user access controls, and regular security patch updates

Collaborate with teams to address End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) remediation activities

Develop and maintain patching and upgrade schedules for systems and applications

Manage data backup and recovery processes, including scheduling, testing, and restoration procedures

Diagnose and resolve system-related issues promptly to ensure minimal operational disruption

Required

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

At least 4 years of Information Technology experience

The candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations
