Process and Sampling Engineering Internship

Responsibilities
Assisting in analyzing existing foundry processes (e.g., molding, melting, casting, and finishing) and identify opportunities for improvement
Supporting the process engineering team in developing, managing, and analyzing samples to evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives
Collecting and interpreting data from production runs to monitor process efficiency and product consistency
Documenting process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering reports related to sampling and process changes
Aid in developing, trialing, implementing, and sustaining lean manufacturing process controls
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in manufacturing, foundry processes, and quality control
Basic understanding of metallurgy, materials testing, and industrial processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with data
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or relevant data analysis software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks)
A commitment to safety and an understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe work environment
Preferred
Knowledge of or interest in automation or digital tools for process optimization
