InternMcConway & Torley, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to join their team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the implementation and support of EHS programs and initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities
Assisting in the development and implementation of safety and environmental programs and procedures
Conducting safety audits and site inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
Helping with EHS reporting and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborating with EHS team to track and analyze workplace incidents, near misses, and safety trends
Coordinating the delivery of safety training programs to employees
Supporting environmental compliance tasks, including waste management, recycling initiatives, and sustainability projects
Participating in the creation of safety data sheets (SDS), safety manuals, and other related documentation
Assisting with risk assessments, safety assessments, and emergency response planning
Helping with the preparation for external audits and inspections (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
Providing general administrative support to the EHS department as needed
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in environmental, health, and safety issues
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience or coursework related to EHS is a plus, but not required
Preferred
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards
Basic understanding of environmental and safety risk management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
