Entry Level Engineer - Fuels Program

APTIM is seeking motivated and proactive entry level engineers to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Federal Fueling programs. The role involves applying critical thinking skills throughout various phases of engineering and construction projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate internally with other execution disciplines and external suppliers both within Company prescribed procedures and direction from the project manager
Review and interpret specifications, drawings and scope of work documents and field data
Prepare a variety of technical documents including scopes of work, specifications, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, work method procedures and project reports
Complete requests for information (RFI), review submittals and select materials for projects
Gain knowledge and uphold industry standards from organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, National Fire Protection Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute
Observe and ensure construction practices are compliant with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements
Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of relevant construction activities/requirements
Gather productivity data for pipeline install, earthwork, concrete work and other activities to support estimating activities

Qualification

B.S Degree in EngineeringAutoCADFEEITTechnical documentationCommunication skills

Required

B.S Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
Willingness to travel 10-15% of time

Preferred

Previous internship experience preferred
FE and EIT candidates preferred
AutoCAD experience preferred
