This internship position will support the team in delivering innovative medication management solutions for health systems clients, providing hands-on experience in benefit design and clinical program support.

Responsibilities

Analyze drug utilization and cost trends to identify opportunities for savings and improved patient outcomes

Research new drug approvals, pipeline products, and clinical guidelines to inform PBM strategies

Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and health system clients

Assist with formulary development and maintenance, including drug evaluations and therapeutic class reviews

Support the implementation of clinical programs such as prior authorization, step therapy, and medication adherence initiatives

Participate in specialty pharmacy and integrated delivery network projects to optimize medication access and reduce costs

Collaborate with AffirmedRx stewards and health system partners to deliver prescription drug coverage at the lowest net cost

Support cross-functional initiatives focused on improving clinical outcomes and cost efficiency

Required

Currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited PharmD program

Strong interest in managed care pharmacy, PBM operations, and health system integration

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
