Sales & Market Development Lead

Untill is a company focused on sustainable agricultural practices and innovative technology in food production. They are seeking a Sales & Market Development Lead to establish and grow their sales function, manage customer relationships, and develop sales strategies in the produce market. This role will involve working directly with the CEO to build the company's presence in the market and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Grow all sales channels to drive revenue via wholesale distribution
Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities and partnerships
Secure new retail placements and foodservice accounts, getting Untill products onto store shelves and menus
Manage and maintain relationships with existing accounts
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by gathering feedback, communicating with internal stakeholders and addressing issues in the field
Ensure that grocery stores are using, storing, pricing and merchandizing our products correctly and effectively
Plan and execute marketing activations such as in-store sampling events, promotions and sales programs
Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and refine sales and growth strategies
Execute sales plans in the field through direct customer engagement, store visits and account follow-ups
Track sales activity, pipeline progress and sales KPIs

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
Minimum 2 years of direct experience in produce sales, specifically in New England
Strong relationships with grocery retailers, foodservice establishments and wholesale distributors
Proven ability to get new products on shelves and grow existing accounts
Deep understanding of produce supply chains and the retail/foodservice buying process
Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools such as Tableau. Creating models is a plus
Hungry to learn, explore and try new ideas to solve challenging problems
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve challenges in the field
