The role involves working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design a scalable structure for data, integrate data sources, and support data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements

Help design the scalable structure for our data lakehouse

Assist in integrating different data sources and ensuring data quality

Participate in developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

Help document architectural decisions, procedures, and best practices

Support security and data governance initiatives within the lakehouse

Stay current with data engineering trends and recommend improvements as you grow in role

Required

Foundational understanding of data architecture and data modeling concepts

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) a plus

Working knowledge of SQL or related database technologies

Strong attention to detail and willingness to solve problems collaboratively

Effective communication skills and ability to work on a team

Eagerness to learn and continuously develop technical skills

Preferred

Experience working with databases or basic data warehousing projects (academic or professional)

Familiarity with ETL tools or data pipeline concepts

Interest in security and data privacy practices
