Responsibilities
Guide customers through the financing process, explaining loan options, contracts, and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) disclosures clearly and confidently
Conduct credit analysis to determine appropriate financing terms that meet both customer needs and dealership goals
Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, insurance policies, and title services to enhance the customer experience and dealership revenue
Process loan applications efficiently using financial software and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards
Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining professionalism and transparency
Manage title processing, contract preparation, and deal paperwork accurately and promptly
Develop strong customer relationships through excellent service, fostering loyalty and repeat business
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar finance role within an automotive dealership setting
Deep understanding of automotive sales processes, credit analysis, and financial services industry standards
Skilled in negotiation, upselling, and customer relationship management to maximize deal profitability
Proficient with financial software systems, title processing tools, and basic math skills including 10-key typing accuracy
Knowledge of TILA regulations, loan processing procedures, contracts management, and credit analysis techniques
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
Preferred
Experienced in the automotive retail industry
Dealership experience preferred; automotive sales background is a plus
