2+ years expAmerican Fuji Seal is seeking a Product Engineering Technician to perform in-house installation, troubleshooting, and repairs on company products. The role involves ensuring packaging machinery is fully functional and meets company and customer standards for performance, appearance, and overall quality.
Packaging & Containers
Responsibilities
Installs, services, and repairs SSL (Shrink Sleeve Label) and PSL (Pressure Sensitive Label) machinery on the shop floor
Performs troubleshooting and start-up of machinery for demo purposes; resolves technical equipment failures
Conducts testing and root cause analysis on machine components that will lead to effective problem solving
Maintains full functional knowledge of machinery and HMI
Completes machine checklists to confirm machine is complete and functional
Operates packaging machinery to confirm efficiency is aligned with customer expectations
Provides technical feedback on product improvements
Understands and follows Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Completes other duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
Qualification
Required
Possesses a strong electrical and mechanical background with the ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical documentation
Excellent troubleshooting skills are a must
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills; must be able to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance
Ability to work week days with possibility of weekend overtime as necessary
Preferred
Experience with electrical systems including PLCs, relays, transformers, circuit breakers, etc
Background with packaging equipment
2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing and/or Field Service Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
