Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, or modify existing ones, to improve product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
Create Change Controls for equipment - new installations and improvements
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to transfer new products from development to production
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
Perform equipment qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ) and process validations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO)
Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on process-related issues and new equipment operation
Analyze process data and metrics to identify trends, predict potential issues, and recommend corrective actions
Ensure all processes adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial) or a related technical field
2-5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process control, and statistical analysis tools
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and CAD software
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred

Master's degree
Certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
