Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information
Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization
Adheres to company attendance standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least four years of accounting experience required
At least two years of Insurance industry experience required
At least two years of Statutory accounting experience required
At least four years of GAAP accounting is required
STAT Reporting Experience
Strong statutory accounting experience specific to insurance
Experience completing STAT month-end close
Solid GAAP reporting and month-end close experience
Direct experience in the Accident & Health insurance industry
P&C-only candidates are not acceptable unless they also have A&H experience
Experience with NAIC filings and regulatory compliance
Experience with IBNR, loss ratios, and persistency/attrition schedules
Ability to analyze and interpret insurance-specific financial metrics
MS Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPs)
A Bachelor of Science degree in accounting is required
Ability to own or contribute meaningfully to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles in an insurance environment
Ability to work fully on-site in Clearwater, FL (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM)
Willingness to relocate if not local
Preferred
Exposure to Orange, Yellow, or Blue Books preferred
Knowledge of insurance financial systems (e.g., Oasis, Clearwater, premium tax software) is a strong plus
