Responsibilities

Responsible for selling the company's products or services to a country’s national/federal government or sub-contractors
Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established agency, agencies, or geographic territory
First-level management position responsible for managing the sale of the organization’s products or services on a geographic or account(s) basis
First-line management responsible for attaining sales objectives on a branch/area basis
Typically responsible for a very limited territory/industry/product line (e.g., one state, province or metropolitan area)
May carry own quota
Incumbents at the Manager level may manage only individual contributor sales account managers and may carry their own sales quota
