Responsibilities

Record, reconcile, and validate daily cash and payment processor activity
Process and apply customer payments; maintain accurate AR subledger
Prepare and send customer invoices; manage AR inquiries and customer relations
Review AR aging weekly and assist in collections follow-up
Support retail AR, including reviewing deductions, chargebacks, short payments, and promotion-related discrepancies
Assist with billing for trade shows, gift cards, and special order workflows
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and revenue-related platforms
Reconcile Shopify, Amazon, TikTok, Stripe, PayPal, and Square sales and payouts
Support clearing account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash application
Prepare recurring journal entries including revenue adjustments, merchant fees, accruals, and stock-based compensation entries
Assist with tax, audit, and intercompany-related month-end schedules
Upload and record bi-weekly payroll journal entries
Support revenue recognition processes under GAAP, including cutoff, refunds, returns, and allowances
Assist with tracking deferred revenue related to subscriptions, gift cards, and other advance payments
Partner with the Controller to learn and gradually assume ownership of revenue accounting as the business scales
Maintain resale certificates in Avalara and assist with monthly sales tax reconciliations
Support audit requests and maintain clean documentation for all reconciliations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
2–3 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience, with readiness to grow into revenue accounting responsibilities
Strong reconciliation skills and solid understanding of GAAP accounting fundamentals
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple recurring deadlines
Comfortable working with large data sets and transactional detail
Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across Finance, Operations, and Customer Experience teams
Curious, coachable, and motivated to develop deeper revenue accounting expertise over time
Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-stage environment

Preferred

E-commerce and/or retail experience strongly preferred
Experience with NetSuite and platforms such as Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, or TikTok is a plus
