The NYS Office of Information Technology Services is seeking an Information Technology Specialist 3 in Information Security. The incumbent will provide services for the administration of Multi-Factor Authentication and participate in technical work to improve systems architecture and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Maintain and administer Multi-Factor Authentication solutions (e.g. RSA SecurID Platform) and user portals. Maintain and create documentation of systems and processes
Participate in analyzing the impact of implementing new versions or patches with various design activities such as updating program specifications, workflow diagrams and charts during testing phases of application upgrades
Work closely with counterparts within other areas of ITS to help ensure identity and access management systems are configured securely for optimal protection while meeting appropriate NYS ITS policies and standards
Participate in the design, architecture, and implementation of robust and scalable IAM solutions, including identity governance and administration (IGA), privileged access management (PAM), single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Participate in the identification and assessment of IAM-related risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory frameworks (e.g., FICAM, PIAM, HIPAA), and industry standards
Participate in security incident response activities related to identity and access management
Monitor and remain aware of emerging IAM technologies, threats, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation related to various IAM projects and initiatives
Qualification
Required
five years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience
A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field substitutes for three years of required experience
any bachelor's substitutes for two years of required experience
An associate degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field may substitute for one year of required experience
Candidates in a bachelor's degree program with at least 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field may substitute such credits for one year of required experience
A master's degree or higher in computer science or related field substitutes for one year of required experience
